1. Policy making, planning, coordinating, determining policies and priorities in line with country's development plans.

2. Investigating and studying ways for improving, expanding and promoting domestic and international tourism industry.  

3. Reviewing and announcing standards, regulations, rules and statutes governing establishment, creation, administration, development and dissolution of accommodation centers, hotels, inns, hospitality complexes, travel and tourism agencies and other centers and assemblies related to tourism activities.

4. Policy making and guiding activities in order to connect with other countries, especially regional Islamic countries.

5. Planning to attract foreign tourists, facilitate and remove barriers, issue entry visas at country entry points, provide necessary welfare services and information in embassies in cooperation with relevant units.

6. Establishing necessary coordination with related bodies and institutions in order to ensure security, organize tours and provide other services for foreign tourists during their stay.  

7. Reviewing incentive plans and solutions to expand domestic tourism and visits to tourism and pilgrimage facilities and attractions across the country.  

8. Coordinating and establishing communication and exchange with ministries, organizations, institutions, entities and other domestic associations to introduce, disseminate information on, and expand domestic tourism.

9. Planning to create facilities and proper conditions for holding specialized tours (sports, health, science, etc.).

10. Planning to identify target markets and investigate ways and mechanisms for increasing the Organization's tourism revenue sources from domestic and international tourism.

11. Implementing supportive, guiding and supervisory policies for institutions, organizations and legal entities and individuals to improve quality and quantity of tourism services.  

12. Controlling and exercising necessary supervision over issuing licenses and administration procedures as well as service delivery by accommodation, hospitality, travel and tourism centers and agencies.

13. Establishing databases and information banks on conditions, standards and specifications of accommodation and hospitality centers, travel agencies and services, currency exchange, natural and historical attractions, museums. Taking necessary measures for effective membership in international associations related to tourism industry.

Description Of Department Works

1. Planning, coordinating, explaining and stating principles, regulations and guidelines governing tourism activities for the staff and distributing tasks among them along with guiding and training them.

2. Planning and determining executive mechanisms for collecting artifacts, information and other indicators required for domestic and foreign tourists, etc.

3. Investigating tourism potential and capacities in the province and ways for expanding them along with providing necessary opinions, suggestions and plans to Organization headquarters and other units.

4. Planning and taking necessary executive actions in order to continuously monitor operations of accommodation centers, hospitality establishments, roadside facilities, tourism centers, travel agencies and their compliance with standards.

5. Reviewing tourists' suggestions and feedbacks and taking corrective actions to remedy shortcomings and promote service quality.

6. Presenting and implementing necessary solutions to attract non-governmental organizations participation for expanding foundational tourism activities in the province in cooperation with other deputies.  

7. Guiding, directing and supporting applicants to expand tourism activities and showing the way for allocating necessary facilities and services for tourists' welfare in the province.

8. Providing specialized reports on status, conditions, potentials and needs of tourism and evaluating performance of tourism activities, plans and programs in the province.
